Fully restored 1971 Venetian Watertaxi

About me

I was born in Amsterdam and raised in the Netherlands. My father, Hans Schutz, was a boatbuilder who started restoring boats and later on also built boats. So it runs in the family, even though he preferred saiLboats and i prefer motorboats.

The whole idea about buying a Venetian watertaxi dates back to 2006, when i first visited Venice. I was not only impressed by their sleek and elegant appearance and their beautifull finish, but also by the fact that they seemed to be so easy to manoeuvre. I wandered why we did not have boats like that in the Amsterdam canals. Because our canals look like those in Venice. And while the small cabin protects people from the sun in Venice, i was convinced that having a small cabin could be very appealing for Dutch watersport enthousiasts; to project from the rain. We have that a lot you see.. So i bought one. And that's how it all started.
